Welcome to The Blackcock Inn at Falstone!
We are a family-run proper country pub in Falstone village near Kielder Water, just one mile away from the reservoir (the largest man-made reservoir in Europe!). We are located in Northumberland National Park, surrounded by Kielder Forest and slap bang in the middle of Northumberland Dark Sky Park. Just ten minutes down the road from us is Kielder Observatory - well worth a visit if life beyond our planet interests you or if you'd just like to see a few stars!
We are chuffed to bits to have recently been awarded 'Best Family-Run Pub and Guest Inn in Northumberland' in LUX Life Magazine 's annual Resort and Retreat Awards for 2021!
The pub itself is a 16th century Coaching Inn, with exposed wooden beams and a proper cosy country feel about the place even if we do say so ourselves.
We currently serve food six days a week and also have five rooms available to book upstairs, four of which are en-suite, as well as our self-catering cottage that sits in the pub grounds. All of our rooms are dog-friendly as is the pub itself downstairs!
